Sometimes we encounter situations where taking a photograph becomes difficult mainly due to the particular conditions of the photo to make. An example of this type of photos is a photo of fireworks.
In this post I’ll give some tips for you to learn how to photograph fireworks.
- Use a tripod and a remote shooter because you will need a long shutter speed. However, if you don’t have a tripod use the top of a car.
- Focus and exposure. Focus manually, one tip on setting your focus settings early is to pick an object about the same distance as the fireworks. For your exposure settings, set aperture to f/8 or f/16. Don’t be confused because you may be shooting in the dark but your target will be pretty bright. To catch motion blur of fireworks 4-10 sec long shutter speed produces the best result.
- ISO use ISO 100 to keep down the noise as much as possible.
