Photo Sharing Services Online
Hi guys
On the last post i promised you speak about Photo Sharing Services online. In this moment, there are a lot of Photo Sharing Services online, so I’ll focus on the best known services for photographers because there gonna be impossible to treat all of them. I encourage you to visit my profiles on this Photo Sharing Services and of course tell me about your profiles.
Flickr. The pictures got on Flickr are public, you can enable or disable your download, they may include a Creative Commons license for use in blogs and publications, and you can get feedback on our work. Labels can also be used to identify a style or theme, for example. It is a comprehensive service that allows you to upload high quality pictures, and also create “sets” or collections to share with others. Also just updated its application for Android and iPhone.
Picasa. This Photo Sharing Service can be considered as the “answer” to Google to Flickr. The strength of Picasa is the synchronization between different services like Blogger to have all our pictures synchronized in one place. It also gives us the option to create photo albums and share them with others, and share individual photos.
500px. This site is dedicated to photographers, they get the ability to create a profile to publicize and sell their work. The difference here is that some of the photographs of 500px members can be buy or sell. We highlight its design, intuitive interface, and the quality of the images.
Photobucket. This Photo Sharing Service is an old internet and has a very simple operation. Photobucket can synchronize with Twitter or Facebook and offers 2GB free.
Instagram. With Instagram we can take a picture and apply a filter and share this with our friends on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and Foursquare. We can also add and follow contacts and see their updates. Instagram recently enabled web profiles to see pictures from everywhere.
Path.Path is a great way to share photos with other users or through social networks.
Tumblr. This micro blogging service, is ideal for sharing pictures. Having an account is free and in addition to upload your own photographs we can also select images of others and also disseminate.
Pinterest. This Photo Sharing Service is almost exclusively for images, so is the social network of choice for designers, illustrators and others with the artistic professions.
Facebook. What can i say that has not been said already?
Google+. It’s a good way to share our work, the photographs are also uploaded on a very good quality. Recently Google updated the service and now is possible to zoom images.
OpenPhoto. This Photo Sharing Service gives users the ability to choose where to store your photos. The options available for storing photos are Dropbox, Amazon S3, Box or on its own servers. OpenPhoto also lets you export images from services like Flickr, Picasa or Facebook. In OpenPhoto can organize pictures uploaded or group them into albums, add tags and create groups of images. You pick who you want to share your files and whether to make them public or private.
I promise to update this post with new services later.
