What is and when to use bracketing
Bracketing involves taking multiple images at different exposure values. It is an indispensable technique for HDR photography but also very useful for photographs with high contrast between light and shadow.
Many of today’s digital cameras have bracketing featuren so just read your camera’s manual to learn how to use this feature. If your camera does not have this function do not worry, you can do it manually by taking multiple photos with different exposure values. To do manually bracketing just take a photo with correct exposure, then one underexposed and other overexposed. Finally you will have your 3 photos (although you can do more photos overexposed or underexposing at different levels).
Here you have an example of bracketing:
and the final result after processing the photos with a suitable program….
PS: To work with this technique is necessary to use tripod or similar so that the three shots are identical.
See you guys and enjoy with Bracketing and HDR
